Noah Gragson took home the 2025 NASCAR All-Star Race Fan Vote, earning his place in the main event at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 18. The popular Front Row Motorsports driver piloted the No. 4 Ford Mustang, marking his third straight fan vote win after victories in 2023 and 2024.
Gragson joins Carson Hocevar and John Hunter Nemechek as the final competitors to qualify, with Hocevar and Nemechek finishing first and second in the All-Star Open earlier in the night.
The All-Star Race, set for 8:00 p.m. ET and carrying a $1 million winnerโs prize, has featured the fan vote tradition since 2004. Ken Schrader was the inaugural fan favorite that year. Over two decades, notable winners have included Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, Kyle Petty, and Danica Patrick. The only driver to convert a fan vote win into an All-Star Race victory was Kasey Kahne in 2008.
Gragson expressed his gratitude to fans after exiting his car and shared that he felt lucky to compete at North Wilkesboro. He faced an extra challenge during the Open, reporting that his Mustang lost power steering but said his team would work hard to fix the issue before the main event.
He called the All-Star atmosphere โsuch a cool experienceโ and emphasized how much the ongoing fan support means to him and the team.
Looking at recent All-Star performances, Gragson finished 23rd in 2023 and just missed the top 10 last year by crossing the line 11th. Repeating as the fan vote winner three times puts Gragson among a rare group of drivers, highlighting his strong connection with the NASCAR fan base.
His consistent popularity is reflected in the tradition that gives fans a unique way to influence starting lineups for one of the Cup Seriesโ most celebrated races. This yearโs All-Star lineup also features Hocevar and Nemechek, who each raced hard in the Open to secure their transfers. The All-Star race weekend brings a festive schedule, with preliminary events and several support classes running before the marquee Cup Series showdown.
North Wilkesboro Speedway, a track rich in NASCAR history, again delivers a big stage for drivers seeking the enormous $1 million prize. Learn more about the trackโs legacy from the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
The 2025 show is anticipated to draw strong viewership, with coverage available on FS1, MRN Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Drivers, crews, and fans are eager to watch if Gragson can break the pattern and challenge for the winโa feat accomplished only once since the fan vote was introduced. With a strong fan base and a determined team, Gragson heads into Sundayโs race ready to compete alongside NASCARโs very best.
