Opel is making headlines in rally racing with its all-electric prototype Mokka GSE Rally, marking a new step for the brand under FIA’s eRally5 regulations. The German manufacturer is already known for its work in electric rally with the Corsa Rally Electric, running successfully in the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup, now in its fifth season.

Sensors can shut off the high-voltage system within tenths of a second in case of abrupt impacts, protecting both driver and car.
Additionally, there is a custom fire system that uses a non-conductive extinguishing agent, crucial for a fully electric vehicle.
Opel and Vauxhall CEO Florian Huettl expressed pride in joint progress with the ADAC to demonstrate that electric rally cars can be exciting and competitive.
