This race marked his fourth win of the year, and the victory came after a night where he left no doubt about who was quickest. Heim swept both stages and led 98 of the 134 laps, finishing with a margin of over six seconds ahead of Ross Chastain, who crossed the line second.

After several near-misses earlier in the season, Heim was visibly relieved and pleased with how the race unfolded. He mentioned how nice it felt to have such a comfortable lead, reflecting on races where a late incident cost him the win.

Heim thanked TRICON Garage and Toyota for providing an outstanding truck and credited both the pit crew and his own execution for pulling through this time. He praised the team’s speed around Charlotte in previous years and called this run one of their cleanest efforts yet.

Ross Chastain, finishing second, had a front-row view of Heim’s dominance all night. He called Heim “best in class” and emphasized how strong the entire Niece Motorsports group ran, putting three trucks inside the top seven.

Chastain noted that although racing among drivers like Kyle Busch and Layne Riggs was intense, none could match the pace of Heim’s truck over long green-flag runs. For more on NASCAR race strategies, you can explore insights from NASCAR’s official competition guidelines.

Kaden Honeycutt took third place after challenging for the lead on a restart at the beginning of the final stage. Layne Riggs and Kyle Busch followed closely, finishing fourth and fifth.

The rest of the top ten were Grant Enfinger, Matt Mills, Daniel Hemric, Rajah Caruth, and Brandon Jones, giving the field both youth and experience.

There was only one major caution during the event, occurring when Gio Ruggiero made contact with Chandler Smith. The incident brought out a spin involving Smith and Ty Majeski, with Connor Mosack also spinning while trying to avoid the wreck.

After that, the closing laps saw green-flag pit stops that shuffled the order and added strategy to the equation. Riggs and Honeycutt tried an early stop with 31 laps to go, but Heim and fellow contenders such as Busch and Chastain pitted soon after, quickly neutralizing the undercut strategy.

As the field cycled through stops, some teams anticipated a late caution and stayed out, hoping for the caution to come in their favor. Rajah Caruth led briefly during the pit cycle, but once he made his stop, Heim moved back out front, five seconds ahead of Chastain with 20 laps remaining.

The margin only grew as Heim managed a clean run to the checkered flag. Friday’s result restored momentum for Heim after tough luck in recent races. For deeper analysis on race performance metrics, check out Racing-Reference’s statistical breakdowns.

With another win in a dominant fashion, Heim strengthens his spot as one of the top drivers in the NASCAR Truck Series this year. The series now looks ahead to upcoming summer races as Heim and the TRICON Garage team aim to keep their winning ways.
