FIA Issues Urgent Statement After Deadly Event Accidents

Williams, at 27, is now being treated in hospital. Officials immediately canceled the remainder of the rally following the accident out of respect for those involved and in response to the severity of the situation.

A third fatality was reported in Denmark during the Nykøbing Falster Motor Sport’s Anniversary Rally. A 69-year-old official was struck and killed when a car went out of control and left the road.

The Danish authorities have not yet released additional details about the victim. Another official, a 64-year-old man, was also hit by the same car and remains in serious condition at a local hospital.
