Lando Norris closed the gap in the Formula 1 driversโ championship after a decisive win at the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix. The McLaren driver converted his pole position into victory, finishing ahead of Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri.
Norrisโ performance means he now trails his teammate Piastri by only three points โ Norris holds 158 and Piastri leads with 161. Max Verstappen finished fourth in Monaco and remains third in the standings on 136 points, now 25 points behind the leader.
The podium at Monaco saw big names shift places in the battle for points. Charles Leclerc collected 15 points for his second-place effort and now sits fifth in the standings with 79 points.
Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five for Ferrari and has 63 points. George Russell kept his hold on fourth in the championship with a solid weekend, reaching a total of 99 points for Mercedes.
McLaren continues their strong run in the constructorsโ race. Norris and Piastri have helped the team reach 319 points after the Monaco round, giving McLaren a lead of 172 points over Mercedes.
The Mercedes pair of Russell and rookie Kimi Antonelli have 147, just ahead of Red Bullโs 143 points. Red Bullโs challenge rests on Verstappenโs consistency and Yuki Tsunodaโs support race to race, with Tsunoda sitting on 10 points.
Lower down the standings, several drivers made noticeable gains. Alexander Albon has helped Williams climb to fifth in the teamsโ table, with Williams sitting on 54 points.
Esteban Ocon, after his time at Alpine, finds himself with Haas and claimed points with a strong top ten finish in Monaco, bringing his season tally to 20. Other notable entries include Isack Hadjar with 15 points for Racing Bulls, Lance Strollโs 14 points for Aston Martin, and Carlos Sainz starting to find his footing at Williams with 12 points.
