Rajah Caruth scored his first win of the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series season in a nail-biting finish at Nashville Superspeedway. Driving the No. 71 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, Caruth led the field after a strong pit stop at the end of Stage 2 and kept the advantage for the final 47 laps.

He held off top contenders Corey Heim and Layne Riggs to secure only the second victory of his career. Caruth credited his pit crew for their effort, saying they were the difference makers in a race where every second on pit road counted.

Corey Heim, who has been the winningest driver of 2025 with four victories in the opening 11 races, finished second. He was close to taking the lead with six laps left but got loose on the outside and decided not to push the issue.

Heim later said clean air was at a premium and admitted a mistake during his last pit stop cost him valuable time. Layne Riggs completed the podium, coming home third after winning the opening stage.

Daniel Hemric finished fourth with Corey Day rounding out the top five. The opening laps saw an extended cleanup after an oil spill from Frankie Muniz’s No. 33 truck ended his race before he could complete a full-speed lap.

The only real incident on track involved spins by Jack Wood and Akinori Ogata just past the halfway mark. Once racing resumed, strategy came into play as drivers looked for every edge in the final run.

Riggs earned the Stage 1 win, Heim took the Stage 2 victory and another crucial playoff point. Caruth managed traffic and pressure in those closing laps, never surrendering the lead despite Heim’s best attempts.

At one point, Caruth ran Heim high on the track, forcing Heim to lift off the gas. That small decision was enough to keep the No. 71 out front as Riggs closed in behind the two leaders, making it a three-way fight right to the finish.

Kyle Busch fought his way back to a 15th-place result after a penalty for a restart violation. Kaden Honeycutt, Chandler Smith, Ty Majeski, Bayley Currey, and Grant Enfinger completed the rest of the top 10.

As the checkered flag waved, Caruth celebrated a much-needed win for Spire Motorsports, who have struggled for speed at times this year. After the tense race at Nashville, Caruth and his team now look ahead with fresh momentum.

Heim and Riggs continue adding strong finishes early in the season, setting up a competitive summer stretch for the NASCAR Truck Series field.
