Erica Enders drove her Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage, Melling Performance, and SCAG Power Equipment Pro Stock car to her first final round of the 2025 season at New England Dragway. The event marked the 83rd final round in Enders’ career.
She squared off with Greg Anderson for the 59th time, including their 13th meeting in a final. Early troubles with traction forced Enders’ car to slow, while Anderson put down a record-breaking 6.469-second pass at 212.19 mph and took the win.
Enders had entered race day after qualifying in the No. 4 position, her best start of the year, with a run of 6.500 seconds at 208.26 mph. In the opening round, she ran a clean 6.500 at 211.06 mph to defeat Deric Kramer, whose car clocked in at 6.539 at 211.23.
The quarterfinals brought more challenges, as tire shake slowed her to a 9.045-second pass at 112.38 mph. Despite that, she advanced past Cory Reed, whose machine had mechanical issues and coasted to a 28.751-second finish.
In the semifinals, Enders met teammate Aaron Stanfield, who had qualified ninth with a 6.565 at 209.26 mph. Stanfield moved through the opening rounds with a 6.554 over Chris McGaha and a 6.506 after rookie Cody Coughlin went red at the start.
The semifinal battle saw Stanfield’s car shake the tires and slow to 7.348, while Enders maneuvered through more tire shake with a quick pedal, clocking a 6.954 at 210.24 mph to reach the finals.
Enders said she was happy to make the last round but admitted the team still faced issues. She mentioned recent test runs in Tulsa, Oklahoma, gave her hope for improvement and said she and the Elite Motorsports crew remain motivated for the season ahead.
Enders and Stanfield are set for a semifinal rematch during the next Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge, where bonus points and a cash prize are at stake.
Greg Anderson’s performance in Epping not only netted his third career win at New England Dragway but also moved him to 109 total Pro Stock victories. His track record-setting final showed the strength of his KB Titan Racing team this season.
With Anderson’s run of 6.537 at 209.95 mph in qualifying and the team’s fast pace throughout eliminations, KB Titan Racing has reached every Pro Stock final round so far in 2025.
The next stop for Elite Motorsports, Anderson, and the field is Bristol Dragway for the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, which runs June 6 through 8. That event marks race seven of 18 this season in the Pro Stock Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series.
Expectations are high as the teams continue to chase points, wins, and milestones with every pass down the track.
