Corey LaJoie Clinches Big NASCAR Truck Deal with Spire Motorsports

Corey LaJoie is set to return to the NASCAR Truck Series in a big way after securing a major deal with Spire Motorsports. Starting with the upcoming race at Michigan, LaJoie will drive the No. 07 Chevrolet for Spire in nine races over the remainder of the 2025 season.

Fans have recently seen LaJoie as an analyst for Prime Video’s NASCAR Cup Series coverage, but now he shifts his focus back to racing as a driver. LaJoie is no stranger to Spire Motorsports, having raced full-time for them in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2021 to 2024.

For the 2025 season, he has made three Cup starts with Rick Ware Racing, including an appearance in this year’s Daytona 500. While LaJoie has competed in a total of 275 NASCAR Cup Series events, his Truck Series experience is limited to just five starts.

He joined Spire for a single Truck race last season and had two races with them in 2023. His best finish in the series was tenth at Bristol in 2014, a result he achieved while driving for Ricky Benton.

This latest opportunity gives LaJoie the chance to fight for wins and help Spire Motorsports aim for the Truck Series owner’s championship. The No. 07 truck has already found success in 2025, with Kyle Larson taking it to victory lane earlier this year at Homestead.

After Michigan, LaJoie is scheduled to race at Richmond in August and will then drive in the final seven playoff events. His return boosts Spire’s hopes for a strong finish to the season.

The Spire team has put fast trucks on the track this year and now adds LaJoie’s experience and familiarity to their lineup. Jeff Dickerson, Spire Motorsports co-owner, explained that bringing LaJoie back made sense as the team planned how to secure their first Truck Series championship.

Dickerson mentioned that the discussion naturally led to LaJoie, who has become synonymous with Spire’s progress over the past few years. He looks forward to seeing LaJoie in the truck starting at Michigan and preparing for the highly competitive playoff stretch.

With this deal, Corey LaJoie will be back in action and fans will soon see him in the No. 07 Chevrolet, working to add more wins and help Spire Motorsports in their pursuit of a championship. Racing continues with the Michigan event up next before the playoff battles begin.
