Kallee Mills Motorsports made a big impression at US 131 Motorsports Park during the recent Shakedown in M-Town event. Despite wet weather causing delays, the team managed to win the N/T 275 category with their 1968 Camaro, known as โKong.โ

Mills also captured personal and team success with the Pro Mod Camaro โScarlet,โ where she ran her career-best time of 3.601 seconds. Testing was wiped out on Wednesday due to rain, but once the surface dried, lead tuner Lee White adjusted quickly.
Scarlet clocked a 3.66-second run in shakedown and followed up with a fast 3.601 during qualifying, placing Mills third in the quickest Mid-West Drag Racing Series Pro Mod field to this point. Mills described the Shakedown at M-Town as unforgettable after earning her first Duck X Productions win.
The critical 3.601 came when it mattered during Q4. The team needed a low .60 to move into the top half of the ladder, and Scarlet delivered.
However, a red-light start and early tire shake in eliminations dropped Scarlet into the Slammers bracket. This gave the team more chances to run, posting a solid 3.62 in the second-chance race, proving the earlier speed was no fluke.
While Scarlet cooled off, Mills turned her attention to Kong in the N/T 275 bracket. The team had just finished making significant chassis and suspension changes to Kong.
Each round showed progress as the Camaro worked through the field. Mills said the updates made an immediate difference, and she even joked that if the car didnโt start behaving, it would be left in Michigan.

But Kong responded well, powering past Todd Bennett in the final by a car length and bringing Mills her first Duck X Productions event title. Mills made it clear that her success relied on the combined effort of her team.
Crew chiefs Mikey, Tayler, her father Dewayne, and tuner Lee White all received thanks for their support and technical skill. She also mentioned her parentsโ support and praised her sponsors, including American Pride Golf Carts.
Special recognition went to Larry and Brody Jeffers, whose presence over the weekend added to the strong sense of support the team enjoyed. The combination of a class win, a career-best 3.60 in qualifying, and two solid 3.62-second runs gave Mills and her Oklahoma-based operation new momentum.
With the next eventโthe Summer Smackdown at Flying H Drag Stripโset for June 26-28, the team is looking forward to another strong outing in the Mid-West Drag Racing Series. This story was first published on June 3, 2025, and highlights outstanding efforts by Mills and her team.
Their achievements bring energy to drag racing fans and raise the bar for competition in the series. For more on competitive racing dynamics, see how Lewis Hamilton performed at Monaco.
Additionally, the persistence shown by the team resembles the determination seen in managing unforeseen conditions, similar to the effect of a flexi wing at the Spanish GP.
