Paton Racing and Cody Krohn are teaming up again for Top Fuel competition at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, taking place June 6 through 8. Krohn will be back behind the wheel of the Paton Racing Top Fuel dragster after a season where he piloted and qualified their car at four national events.

That consistency helped Krohn gain valuable experience before shifting focus to his own Top Alcohol Funny Car earlier in the 2025 season. Even with his success in the Funny Car category, Krohn has always aimed for Top Fuel, the highest level of NHRA drag racing.

Krohn describes competing in Top Fuel as a dream and credits his family’s support for making it possible. He acknowledges the determination he and his parents have shown over the past year to secure this opportunity.

Krohn remarked that last season’s partnership between CK Racing and Paton Racing was strong and expects the competitive spirit to carry over into the Bristol event. The team also benefits from the backing of sponsors like Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School, Performance Data Systems, and Right Trailers, who are contributing vital support for this effort.

Team owner Todd Paton believes Krohn makes the team stronger every time he’s in the driver’s seat. He pointed out the 21-year-old’s impressive feel for Top Fuel cars, a skill Krohn has shown early in his career.

After recent runs at Charlotte, Paton is optimistic that the team’s latest adjustments with the clutch and fuel system will pay off in Bristol. The team’s goal is to provide Krohn with a fast and competitive car right from the start of the event.

The partnership between Krohn and the Paton team is set for another test as they return together to the Top Fuel stage. Both driver and team are focused on building momentum and making an impact in the highly competitive field.

Enthusiasts following NHRA action can expect an exciting weekend of racing as the Thunder Valley Nationals approach, with Krohn looking to capitalize on this chance in one of drag racing’s premier divisions.
