Jeff Rudolf delivered a standout performance at Shakedown XXII in M-Town, US 131 Motorsports Park, securing a notable Pro Mod victory that brought him center stage in the drag racing community. Competing in an event that featured 25 top Pro Modified entries from the Mid-West Drag Racing Series and Radial Outlaws, Rudolf powered through the field and took home a $20,000 prize.
The event, broadcast live on FloRacing, became a showcase of teamwork and preparation for Rudolf and his crew. Key to his win was the consistent work of his team, the expert tuning of Brandon Stroud, and the attention paid by the track staff.
Rudolf recorded a 3.596-second run, which was not only the lowest elapsed time of the race but also highlighted his car’s speed at 208.24 miles per hour. His reaction time of 0.023 seconds during competition helped secure passes round after round, making his route to victory even more impressive.
Rudolf noted that the car only shook the tires once during qualifying, and that was when the team was already confident in their position. After the race, Rudolf joined The Wes Buck Show, where he discussed the significance of this win and mapped out his plans for the upcoming racing season.
He explained that while this victory was a significant moment, there are bigger goals ahead. His team is in the process of building a new Camaro, which they have named “Ghetto Sleigh 2.”
This new machine, crafted by Precision Built Race Cars, is scheduled to debut at the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, just a couple of miles from Rudolf’s home. If construction is delayed, Rudolf remains determined to compete at the event by driving another car if needed.
Rudolf’s presence in the Pro Mod scene is marked by more than just numbers and race results. Known as “The Sheriff,” he combines performance with entertainment, often engaging fans with memorable moments at the track.
From high-fiving the crew on the starting line to lively interviews, Rudolf understands that fans remember both the cars and the people behind the wheel. During his appearance, he shared stories about the team’s approach and his belief that success comes when driver and machine are both at their best.
Looking forward, Rudolf will continue to race in the Mid-West Drag Racing Series and is considering appearances in PDRA events. Participation in the Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod is also possible later in the year.
Despite the excitement about what’s next, all eyes are on his upcoming shot at the NHRA U.S. Nationals, an event he has called a bucket list opportunity due to its proximity and prestige. For now, Jeff Rudolf’s recent win serves as a milestone in his racing career, reflecting both his drive for improvement and the strength of the team around him.
With plans taking shape for Indianapolis and a new car on the horizon, the next chapter in Rudolf’s racing story promises more action and growth on drag racing’s biggest stages.
