The 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours is scheduled from June 11 to June 15 at the Circuit de la Sarthe in France. This event marks the 93rd edition and is a crucial round in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The race starts on Saturday, June 14, at 16:00 Central European Time and runs for 24 hours straight. Before the race, teams participate in practice and qualifying sessions, including the intense Hyperpole qualifying on June 12.

This year’s lineup includes 36 regular WEC entrants competing in three categories: Hypercar, LMGT3, and LMP2. Among the drivers, seventeen have previously won overall at Le Mans, while forty have claimed victories in their specific classes.

Double points will be awarded for the championship standings, reflecting the challenge posed by this grueling 24-hour race. The 13.626-kilometer track demands drivers push their cars to full throttle for 70% of each lap, reaching speeds of up to 340 km/h.

Ferrari enters as the favorite, aiming for its third consecutive Le Mans win. The Ferrari 499P Hypercar has led every race in the 2025 season so far.

Porsche follows closely, boasting 19 Le Mans wins but without an overall trophy since 2017. Toyota, having won five straight from 2018, seeks to recover after a slow start to this season.

Other top contenders include Cadillac, Peugeot, Alpine, BMW, and Aston Martin. Aston Martin’s return to the Hypercar class is notable, marking its first appearance since 2011 and recalling its historic 1959 victory.

The LMGT3 category features a record 24 entries, with major manufacturers such as Mercedes, McLaren, Corvette, Ford, Lexus, Porsche, and Ferrari competing. Adding diversity to the grid is the Iron Dames, an all-female team racing a Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The competition is a blend of rookie teams and seasoned veterans, promising intense racing across all classes.
