Cadillac will start first at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours after topping the qualifying times at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe. The Hyperpole 2 session saw Alex Lynn put the No. 12 Cadillac Hertz Team Jota in pole position with a time of 3:23.166.

Lynn outpaced the other Cadillac entry, the No. 38 car, by just 0.167 seconds. That No. 38 crew includes 2009 Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button, along with drivers Earl Bamber and Sรฉbastien Bourdais.

Norman Nato and Will Stevens join Lynn in the leading No. 12 car, with Stevens bringing Formula 1 race experience from stints with Caterham and Manor.

The Porsche Penske squad will start third overall and in the Hypercar class, with drivers Julien Andlauer, Michael Christensen, and Mathieu Jaminet behind the wheel of the No. 5 car.

BMWโ€™s M Team WRT will occupy fourth and sixth on the grid, split by the No. 4 Porsche of Felipe Nasr, Nick Tandy, and Pascal Wehrlein.

Ferrariโ€™s top entry, the No. 50 car, is lined up in seventh, featuring Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen.

Hypercar competition will be close with strong representation from Alpine, Toyota, Aston Martin, and Peugeot, as well as privateer squads such as AF Corse and Proton Competition.

Notable drivers throughout the field include Raffaele Marciello, Robert Kubica, Kamui Kobayashi, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Nico Jani. Each team starts the day aiming to master the twice-around-the-clock challenge.

The LMP2 class pole was secured by the No. 29 TDS Racing car shared by Rodrigo Sales, Mathias Beche, and Clement Novalak.

The top six in LMP2 also features the Inter Europol Competition No. 43 entry, AO by TF, two United Autosports entries, and CLX Pure Racing.

LMP2 remains an important showcase for up-and-coming talent, with crews often featuring drivers with a blend of endurance and single-seater backgrounds.

In LMGT3, the No. 27 Heart of Racing Team secured the top spot in qualifying with drivers Ian James, Zach Robichon, and Matteo Drudi.

The class features plenty of variety, with factory-supported teams and privateers competing in cars from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, and other leading manufacturers.

Notable names include Valentino Rossi in the No. 46 Team WRT entry and the all-female Iron Dames crew in the No. 85.

A total of 63 cars will take the green flag, each aiming to survive the demands of the worldโ€™s most famous endurance race.

The starting grid features a blend of returning champions, experienced sports car racers, and rising stars.

This yearโ€™s event promises plenty of intrigue with battles up and down the grid, weather and traffic always presenting extra challenges.

As the field sets off for 24 hours of racing, fans can expect drama, strategy, and perseverance to play a central role in deciding who takes the checkered flag.
