Highlights

  • Brad Keselowski led a season-high 27 laps at Pocono Raceway.
  • No. 6 team penalized for pitting under closed pits on Lap 57.
  • Late race caution negated pit strategy, restart from 24th place.
  • Keselowski finished ninth, second-best result of the season.
  • Next race: Quaker State 400 on June 28 at EchoPark Speedway.
  • Keselowski seeded 17th for new month-long NASCAR In-Season Challenge.

The strategy backfired, and after pitting under yellow, Keselowski restarted in 24th place with 30 laps to go. Even with these setbacks, Keselowski made a determined charge through the field.

He passed a long list of contenders and finished ninth, securing the team’s second-best result of the season. Still, there was some frustration within the team after giving up a shot at the win.

A higher finish would have helped them climb from 30th in the point standings and push towards a coveted playoff spot in the 16-driver field.

Despite the disappointment, team unity remains strong.

Bullins, a ten-time Cup series winner, praised the group for staying focused and working together even on a tough day. Bullins recently returned to RFK Racing after a season with another team and has worked with Keselowski before, collecting five Cup wins as a duo.

Their leadership and commitment are helping the team push forward through a stretch of challenging results. Looking ahead, the No. 6 team will try for a breakthrough at the Quaker State 400, set for June 28 at EchoPark Speedway.

This event also marks the start of NASCAR’s new In-Season Challenge. Keselowski has been seeded 17th and will face fierce rival Kyle Busch, the 16th seed, in a head-to-head matchup as part of the month-long, elimination-style tournament.

The last driver standing will earn a $1 million prize. The race begins at 7 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast on TNT, truTV, HBO Max, PRN Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

The In-Season Challenge will continue for five weeks, bringing new excitement and added stakes to the summer stretch. For Keselowski and the No. 6 team, their recent showing at Pocono proved there is speed and spirit in the group.

Now, their focus is squarely on turning that speed into a win and a championship run as the season heats up.

Similar to the strategic decisions seen in other racing series, the team aims to capitalize on their potential moving forward with enhanced tactics and unity.
