The new road promises a smoother, more reliable entry for both racers and fans. Other key changes focus on the facility’s overall layout.
Construction teams are removing outdated fencing, adding new pavement behind the burnout box, and building an improved VIP and media parking area near the tower. The pit entrance gate will be redesigned to feature two ticket booths for faster ticket scanning and to manage crowds more efficiently.
Alvarez explained that the single booth setup made big event days difficult, so the new design is expected to reduce wait times and help people get to their spots quickly. Upgrades also include repainting and rewrapping the control tower, renovating bathrooms, and possibly moving the pit entrance further down the property.
This change could make it easier for large race rigs to access the facility. Alvarez described the peace of mind that comes with these projects, especially after seeing the old entrance road damaged by storms over the years.
Mitchell thanked regular visitors for their patience during these construction efforts, stating that each upgrade is meant to enhance every visit.
Plans are on track for the park to reopen on July 12, when they will host a Saturday night Street Heat/Test & Tune event. With these upgrades, Bradenton Motorsports Park aims to provide a better experience for competitors and spectators when the new racing season arrives.
