Hart enters the Norwalk event ranked inside the Top Ten in Top Fuel after a few tough races, including a challenging outing in Richmond, Virginia last week. His recent record shows promise, with quarterfinal appearances in five of the past seven national events and top-half qualifying results in three of the last five races.
Hart and his crew see good Friday qualifying runs as key to a successful weekend, setting them up for better lane choice during eliminations. The schedule gives Hart and his teams two qualifying runs in each series on Friday and Saturday, then elimination rounds for both cars on Sunday.
In the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series, Hart is adapting to the full-bodied class as a rookie driver. He says the experience is both fun and demanding, as switching from his 11,000-horsepower Top Fuel dragster to the Dodge Challenger tests his skills across very different styles of racing.
Hart believes that keeping his mind sharp and seat time high helps him perform well across both types of cars.

Racing fans and sponsors are watching closely, eager to see if Hart can double up his success at one of drag racing’s signature events, following exciting moments like the Norwalk Summit fling.
