In the Top Dragster final, Rudolph eliminated Art Cioffi from Campbell, Ohio, with a pass of 4.3554 seconds at 161.00 mph and a reaction time of just .0019 seconds. Cioffi lost after a red light start despite a strong 4.4029-second, 156.30 mph run.
Joe Masullo from Buffalo made a semi-final appearance in the Top Dragster bracket. Top Dragster qualifying was led by seventeen-year-old Ryan Harris from Burford, Ontario, who steered the Harris Family 2019 Horton Race Cars Top Alcohol Dragster to a best run of 3.7118 seconds at 196.16 mph.
Lynden recorded a 4.8251-second time at 143.91 mph on a 4.80 dial-in, while Werner ran his entry to a 4.2616 at 168.98 mph.
Andy Gregoire and Dan Germano posted semi-final finishes, with Germano earning the number one qualifying spot. Germano’s qualifying lap was a 4.2001-second pass at 169.11 mph in his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro.
In the Pro Bike & Sled Series, Brian Babiak from West Seneca came out on top in the final aboard his 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14. Babiak delivered a 5.6249-second, 122.32 mph run on a 5.61 dial-in, narrowly beating Haley Ferber’s Suzuki Hayabusa.
Ferber laid down a 5.5980-second pass at 124.79 mph. The semi-finals saw Babiak get past Brian Baker from Nunda, while Ferber earned her spot by defeating Ken Babiak Jr.
Current point standings have Charlie Rudolph leading the Quick 32 Sportsman Series with 338 points. Doug Lynden sits in second with 314 points, while Brian Werner and Art Cioffi both have 297 points.
Dan Germano is close behind at 280 points. On the Pro Bike & Sled Series side, Brian Babiak leads with 315 points, trailed by Haley Ferber at 295, Ken Babiak Jr. at 280, and Brian Baker with 278 points.
The Quick 32 Sportsman Series and PBSS will continue to compete on the eighth-mile surface at Empire Dragway. Upcoming event dates are scheduled in August and September.
