Ty Kasper wins the Outlaw 10.5 headliner at Cecil County Dragway on July 11, sealing the heat-delayed Strange Engineering Outlaw Street Car Shootout round.
The multi-time PDRA Pro Street winner defeats 2023 PDRA Pro Street world champion Bill Riddle in the final, becoming the series’ second victor after “Quick” Nick Schroeder swept the opening two events.
The result validates Kasper’s twin-turbo Mustang program and underscores the class’s robust return to The Pond after years away, with strong participation and competitive pace.

Kasper’s route carries minimal jeopardy. Driving his twin‑turbo Boost Gangster/Victus Sports Mustang, he advances unopposed when Eric Pagliugi misses the call, posting 4.224 at 152.74 mph.
The semifinals deliver a ladder bye, Kasper lifting to a conservative 7.509 to protect hardware and data ahead of the final.
In the decider, Kasper’s .006 reaction proves decisive. He records 4.273 at 158.00 mph to defeat Riddle’s 4.474 at 138.26 mph.
Post-race, Kasper highlights extensive offseason work and the challenge of running turbo combinations consistently. He credits father Tom and brother TJ for sustained development support.
Riddle sets the benchmark through qualifying. The No.1 qualifier opens race day with a bye, then clocks 3.976 at 187.94 mph after a 3.955 in qualifying trim.
Schroeder’s streak ends in the semifinals, a -.014 red against Riddle. Riddle responds with a consistent 3.988 at 187.63 mph to secure lane choice.
Outlaw 10.5 returns within the Strange Engineering series, alongside Pro 275, Limited Drag Radial, Ultra Street, Top Sportsman, 8.50 Index, Super Street, Pro Street, 10.00, 11.50, and Pro Dial.
Momentum now shifts to the next Shootout event on July 31–August 1, where evolving setups and rising contenders aim to challenge established front-runners.
