Is Axcel Sports cheaper than FervoGear?
On the base price, yes. Axcel lists a custom double-layer SFI 3.2A/5 suit at $540 in FR cotton and $600 in matte Nomex, but says those prices do not include the design fee or shipping, and gloves are sold separately. FervoGear's $799 deal is a double-layer SFI 3.2A/5 suit with a Nomex® shell and lining, matching gloves, the design, unlimited logo embroidery and free US shipping.
Do I pay for the design?
At Axcel, a design fee is added to custom suit prices; the amount is not published. At FervoGear the design is free: your first proof arrives within 24 hours, changes are unlimited, and no credit card is needed.
Which one is faster?
Axcel says most orders arrive in 2 to 4 weeks, as an estimate. FervoGear's standard delivery is usually 5 to 6 weeks after design approval and sizing, and expedited delivery takes about 3.5 weeks.
Is Axcel's $241.50 suit SFI 3.2A/5?
That is the starting price of their ready-made GT suit, which is titled SFI 3.2A/5. The starting option is a single-layer SFI 3.2A/1 fire-resistant cotton suit in the two smallest sizes; larger sizes, more layers and Nomex cost extra. It is not a custom suit.
Which SFI ratings can I get?
Axcel lists suits at SFI 3.2A/1, 3.2A/5, 3.2A/15 and 3.2A/20, plus CIK-FIA kart suits. FervoGear makes SFI 3.2A/1 single-layer suits and SFI 3.2A/5 double- and triple-layer suits.
