How much does an Impact Racing custom suit cost?
Impact Racing does not list prices for its custom suits; you call or email its sales office for a quote. Its suit style sheet shows Tier 2 designs add $100 and Tier 3 designs add $200. FervoGear lists its prices: a custom double-layer SFI 3.2A/5 suit with matching gloves is $799, and $899 with matching shoes as well.
Which one is faster?
Impact Racing does not publish a lead time for custom suits; its in-stock items usually ship in 48 to 72 hours. FervoGear's custom suits are usually delivered 5 to 6 weeks after design approval and sizing, or in about 3.5 weeks with expedited delivery.
Do I need vector logo files?
Impact Racing asks for new logos as vector files (AI or EPS, sometimes PDF) and says it cannot use GIF, JPG or PNG files; it may redraw a logo for an extra fee. At FervoGear our request form takes any image format, with no vector files needed, and logo embroidery is unlimited in every deal.
Which SFI ratings can I get?
Impact Racing makes custom suits rated SFI 3.2A/5, 3.2A/15 and 3.2A/20 (its multi-layer drag suit). FervoGear makes SFI 3.2A/1 single-layer suits and SFI 3.2A/5 double- and triple-layer suits. If your class needs SFI 15 or 20, choose a maker that offers it.
Can I return a custom suit?
Impact Racing says custom suits and suits with added embroidery are not eligible for return. FervoGear's custom suits are not returnable unless there is a manufacturer defect, which is why you approve a free proof first and see photos of your suit before it ships.
