Rackley W.A.R. will shut down its NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program after Friday’s race at Talladega Superspeedway, drawing a line under six full seasons in the category.

The team’s record includes a 2022 Talladega win with Matt DiBenedetto, a 2024 full-season No. 26 for Dawson Sutton, and part-time No. 27 runs for Toni Breidinger and Kasey Kleyn.

Team exits the Truck Series after Friday’s Talladega round, ending six seasons.

Co-owners Curtis Sutton and Willie Allen thanked staff, drivers, and partners, calling the 2022 Talladega victory a defining high point as the organization prepares for its final Truck start.

The withdrawal removes another independent presence and underlines the difficulty of sustaining competitive operations in a national NASCAR series over multiple seasons.

Rackley W.A.R. will refocus on its national late model program, which has produced close to 50 wins since 2021 through the Rackley Roofing and Willie Allen Racing partnership.

Co-owners highlight the 2022 Talladega win as the program’s proudest moment.

Driver development remains central. Dawson Sutton will join TRICON Garage in 2027, racing the No. 5 Toyota full-time as he seeks the next step in his Truck career.

Friday’s Talladega race offers a final showcase before the team’s exit, amid an unpredictable superspeedway pack race and a shifting playoff picture elsewhere in NASCAR.

Operationally, the Truck exit consolidates personnel and resources into the late model pathway, preserving the organization’s pipeline while pausing national-series competition.

The decision also fits broader themes in NASCAR’s evolving presentation, with emphasis on narrative-building highlighted in recent discussions of NASCAR storytelling initiatives.

Dawson Sutton will race full-time for TRICON Garage in 2027, driving the No. 5 Toyota.

For now, Friday’s run will stand as Rackley W.A.R.’s final Truck Series appearance, closing a concise, credible stint while its people target fresh opportunities across the sport.
