Muckleshoot Casino NHRA Nationals Launch With Thrilling Fan Events

The 37th Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals opened near Seattle with fan-first activations, a free $15,000 tournament, Fan Fest, and an official after-party ahead of qualifying and Sunday eliminations.

Thursday’s Mission Foods Machine Tournament at Muckleshoot Casino Resort paired fans with touring drivers, including Austin Prock, Jasmine Salinas, Krista Baldwin, points leader Ron Capps, and rookie Maddi Gordon.

Drivers competed alongside participants, showcasing off-track competitiveness in a controlled, fan-accessible format that complemented the on-track programme to follow at Pacific Raceways.

The casino hosted the official after-party on Saturday from 7:30 p.m., headlined by Mini Kiss, extending engagement beyond the racetrack and establishing a central hub for fans across the weekend.

Fan Fest, presented by Explore Auburn, returned Thursday at Outlet Collection in Auburn, running 5–7 p.m. Autographs 6–7 p.m. featured Tony Schumacher, Jordan Vandergriff, Justin Ashley, Will Smith, and Baldwin.

Pro Stock representation included Jeg Coughlin Jr., Troy Coughlin Jr., Shane Tucker, and Chris Vang, broadening the lineup and reinforcing Fan Fest’s utility as a pre-weekend engagement platform.

On-track, two qualifying sessions run Friday and Saturday, with the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge set for Saturday, before Sunday eliminations mark another milestone in NHRA’s 75th anniversary season.

The Seattle stop follows Sonoma’s surge in interest, including a sellout crowd, underscoring momentum across the tour.

Last year at Seattle, Shawn Langdon won Top Fuel, Matt Hagan took Funny Car, and Dallas Glenn prevailed in Pro Stock. Langdon, Austin Prock, and Glenn captured the #2Fast2Tasty at the previous event.

FOX and FS1 carry coverage from Seattle, with Sunday eliminations airing live nationally, complementing FS1 qualifying shows earlier in the weekend.

Alongside the pro classes, Seattle hosts the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Pre-race ceremonies, the SealMaster Track Walk, and pit access anchor the fan experience with autograph and rebuild access.

Sponsors and vendors populate the Manufacturers Midway, expanding merchandise and interactive opportunities across the facility.

Friday’s Pro Stock qualifying is scheduled for 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. PT. Top Fuel and Funny Car run at 2:30 and 5:00 p.m.

Saturday features nitro sessions at 12:00 and 2:30 p.m., with Pro Stock at 1:00 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday eliminations commence 10:00 a.m. PT.

Television includes Friday qualifying at 10:00 p.m. ET on FS1, Sunday qualifying 2:30 p.m. ET on FS1, and eliminations from 4:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
