Pat Musi headlines this weekend’s PDRA Thunder Valley Throwdown at Bristol Dragway, anchoring the series’ fan engagement push. An autograph session runs Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Musi Racing booth.
The event forms round five of the 2026 Red Line Oil PDRA season. It blends packed competition with paddock access aimed at strengthening the series’ community ties.
A centerpiece is the “Back in Black” ’69 Camaro from the Musi Muscle restomod line. It features the Edelbrock Musi 555 crate engine and is positioned as a draw for enthusiasts.

The 555 is assembled by Musi’s team and uses Edelbrock cylinder heads from Mooresville, North Carolina. It supports EFI and carbureted configurations for streetable, championship-level output.
PDRA executive Mark Beatty underlines Musi’s decade-long influence on Pro Nitrous. Since 2014, Musi-built nitrous engines have remained a competitive mainstay for front-running entrants.
Musi’s pedigree extends beyond the dyno room. He is a multi-time Pro Street world champion, while his late daughter, Lizzy Musi, earned significant PDRA Pro Nitrous and No Prep Kings victories.
Musi plans to remain trackside through the weekend. The focus is product insight, fan interaction, and reinforcing technical continuity across PDRA categories.
Edelbrock continues as a key PDRA partner and Bracket Bash title sponsor. Its long-running collaboration with Musi underpins the Edelbrock Musi 555 program and aligns with restomod demand.
Edelbrock’s Trent Goodwin describes the pairing as a natural fit for “big power” that remains street-friendly. The “Back in Black” Camaro presents that philosophy in a visible, fan-facing package.
The Thunder Valley Throwdown promises close racing and hands-on experiences. Expect strong interest from fans tracking the series’ leadership direction and its top engines and personalities narrative.
