Justin Lamb’s Historic Sonoma Win Charges Him Toward Allstars Race

Justin Lamb closes the first half of 2026 with emphatic form in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. He converts three national event finals into victories.

The run includes a Stock Eliminator win at the DENSO Sonoma Nationals. That result ties him with John Force on eight career wins at Sonoma Raceway.

He also adds three divisional victories across a West Coast-heavy schedule. The consistency signals a commanding start to his title defence.

In Super Stock, Lamb campaigns the RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet COPO Camaro, carrying No. 1 as reigning champion. He reaches the Phoenix divisional final and wins the Snyder Sportsman Classic at Pomona.

He then makes the final at the season’s first division race at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The execution remains precise round to round.

Stock Eliminator proves even more fruitful. Driving the bright LIUNA COPO, Lamb secures back-to-back NHRA 75th Anniversary Diamond Wallys at Arizona Nationals and the Winternationals.

The Western Swing opens with Sonoma and Seattle, followed by a Woodburn doubleheader. Lamb capitalises immediately at Sonoma, taking the Stock title to start the stretch.

Beyond results, Sonoma carries personal weight. During the event, Lamb is recognised among NHRA’s Top 50 Sportsman Racers, alongside Jimmy DeFrank and the family of Kyle Seipel.

Lamb notes the venue is often called “Kyle’s house,” reflecting Seipel’s legacy. Succeeding there reinforces the emotional connection that drives his programme.

The operation remains sponsor-backed and well resourced. LIUNA Local 872 leads support, joined by RAD Torque Systems and Goodyear, among others.

Crew chief Gary “Pirate” Tackett directs tune-up decisions that underpin repeatability. Family involvement also remains central, with wife Jeanine, their children, and parents Chris and Carole present.

Attention now shifts to the remainder of the calendar. Lamb targets further divisional and national outings to maintain momentum and bank late-season options.

He also secures a place in the prestigious JEGS Allstars event, staged during the Texas Fallnationals in Dallas on October 13–18. It is a title he has yet to win.

Lamb has represented the Pacific Division multiple times in the Allstars. He views this year as a prime chance to complete that missing line on his résumé.
