Austin Prock targets a third straight Funny Car U.S. Nationals win and another All-Star Callout triumph at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on September 6–8.

The two-time champion returns after sweeping 2025, winning the regular-season title, the Nationals, and the PlayNHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout.

This season’s Callout seeding places Prock fifth for Tasca Racing. Jack Beckman holds top seed. The field features Matt Hagan, Ron Capps, J.R. Todd, Alexis DeJoria, Chad Green, Spencer Hyde.

Form is encouraging. Prock’s 12,000-horsepower Ford Mustang has reached five consecutive semifinals, including a runner-up finish in Seattle, underscoring consistent turnarounds and launch performance.

“Our package just seems to work in Indy, and we’ve earned those wins the last two years. I feel our race car is in a good enough spot,” Prock says.

The All-Star Callout winner secures an $80,000 bonus on Sunday, September 6. With Prock seeded fifth, tactical lane choice and early execution will be pivotal against heavyweight opposition.

NHRA’s 75th anniversary frames the weekend. Legends Don Garlits, Don Prudhomme, Kenny Bernstein, and Shirley Muldowney headline appearances, complementing cackle-car demonstrations and heritage exhibition runs.

NHRA marks 75 years with appearances from Garlits, Prudhomme, Bernstein, and Muldowney.

Track activity builds across the weekend: Friday night qualifying, Saturday’s Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, Sunday’s PlayNHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout, then Monday eliminations to close the programme.

Off-track, fans get the Sox & Martin Hemi Challenge, expanded Nitro Mall displays, autograph sessions, open pits, and family zones, broadening engagement beyond the headline classes.

The All-Star Callout winner pockets $80,000, sharpening strategic pressure on Sunday.

Prock won Funny Car last year. Other 2025 champions included Justin Ashley in Top Fuel, Erica Enders in Pro Stock, and Gaige Herrera on Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Current leaders Doug Kalitta in Top Fuel and Greg Anderson in Pro Stock underscore class depth, with the Top Fuel picture at Indy intensifying competition across Labor Day weekend.

Against that backdrop, Prock’s confidence and Tasca Racing’s operational sharpness create a credible threat. A clean execution window could extend an Indy winning streak.
