Taylor Chomiski targets Comp Eliminator success at the 72nd NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, driving a Chevrolet Cobalt powered by father and crew chief Gary Chomiski’s engine.
He enters ranked 13th nationally and second in Division 4 points.
The team arrives after a difficult summer but with a reset approach, prioritizing process over outcome. The Diamond Wally available this weekend heightens jeopardy and rewards discipline.
Form is encouraging. Chomiski won the Division 4 opener at No Problem Raceway, reached the Cajun SPORTSnationals semifinals, then made the final in Las Vegas to consolidate momentum.

June brought the loss of family friend Duane Ollinger, a widely respected figure. Chomiski will carry Ollinger’s name on the Cobalt after a heartfelt celebration of life in Amarillo.
Chomiski contests the E/SM class within Comp Eliminator’s index framework. Compounding limited starts, the Cobalt has not been on the track recently, yet sustained preparation underpins confidence.
