Pro Mod driver Kallee Tally will debut a new ’68 Camaro at the Mid-West Drag Racing Series Throwdown in T-Town, October 22-24, at Tulsa Raceway Park, targeting a competitive baseline.
The car is built by Larry Jeffers and uses first-of-its-kind body, focused on aero efficiency. Power comes from a screw-blown 4.9 Noonan Hemi, with M&M Transmission and Quick Performance.
Originally configured for outlaw racing, the Camaro paused during IHRA changes. Early testing returned parity with Tally’s previous Pro Mod within three runs, indicating strong baseline potential.

Engine calibration is led by Lee White, supported by a tight crew of DeWayne Mills, Jordan Tally, Taylor Strange, and Mike Simms. Tally confirms she alone will drive new car.
Mills Racing’s black-and-gold identity returns, now with a bespoke wrap and a prominent “Kong” on the hood. The side panels honor Jerry McDaniel and Ace Striping and Seal Coating.
The team postponed a planned September debut at Flying H Dragstrip in Missouri, preferring a measured rollout at Tally’s home venue, Tulsa Raceway Park, and avoiding risks amid Kansas points.
The build took about a year, reflecting a deliberate approach. Jeffers’ new body aims to cut drag and stabilise flow, broadening the tuning window across changing track temperatures and densities.
Continuity helps. Tally raced a Jeffers-built ’68 named “Scarlett,” owned by Paul and Jeanne Hayden, last season. Early data suggests similar performance already, with development scope to find gains.
Family involvement extends trackside. Jordan Tally will make his competition debut in Super Pro at Tulsa, adding another program to manage across the weekend.
The debut fits a broader pattern of first outings across motorsport, as seen with a recent circuit racing debut elsewhere, underscoring the value of measured preparation.
Objectives are pragmatic: clean launches, consistent incrementals, and usable data. With confidence from testing, the team targets steady progress through eliminations at Throwdown in T-Town.
