NHRA has postponed this weekend’s SPORTSnationals in Kentucky and Maryland due to adverse weather forecasts.
Beech Bend’s JEGS SPORTSnationals moves to August 26–30 as part of a reworked JEGS Speedweek programme.
Cecil County’s Testo SPORTSnationals shifts to August 13–16, retaining its original competitive format and sequencing.

NHRA made the call early to manage travel logistics, reduce sunk costs, and provide clarity for teams and fans.
At Beech Bend, the North Central Division Lucas Oil Series opens the weekend, followed by the headline SPORTSnationals.
Stock and Super Stock eliminations remain, as does the Top Alcohol Lucas Oil Series divisional event.
Cecil County retains the Northeast Division Lucas Oil Series race, then class eliminations, closing with the SPORTSnationals finale.

Sportsman manager Jason Galvin says NHRA aligned with both venues and sponsors to prioritise racers and ensure consistent racing opportunities.
In Maryland, Division Director Mark Dawson coordinated with track staff and Testo, joined by Jim Halsey and Michael Ficacci.
The group produced a practical fix that protects competitive integrity while easing operational strain on officials and teams.
The reshuffle compresses preparation windows but creates a clean lead‑in to the Cornwell NHRA U.S. Nationals.
Teams must adjust travel plans, component turnarounds, and crew rotations, yet the dates should stabilise participation and car counts.
For fans, the product remains intact, with detailed timetables to follow as NHRA finalises weekend schedules.
This proactive decision prioritises safety and show quality while maintaining calendar coherence despite challenging weather.
