The Quick 32 Sportsman Series opens its season at Toronto Motorsports Park over Victoria Day Weekend in Cayuga, Ontario, alongside the NHRA National Open double-header.
The meeting also forms part of the John Scotti Canadian Championship Series, adding competitive depth and meaningful points opportunities.
Steve Ferstl sets the early tone. The Burlington racer wins Top Dragster and the event final, driving a 2008 S&W Dragster to 4.858 seconds at 141.38 mph off a 4.84 dial.

Ferstl defeats Top Sportsman winner Matt Costabile in the series final to bank a guaranteed $2,000 from Fletch Racing, plus the event purse.
Costabile, from Fort Erie, takes first-event runner-up in a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro with a 5.414 at 122.50 mph and secures a $1,000 bonus.
Shawna Woudstra earns Top Dragster runner-up, with Brooklyn Noakes reaching the semi-finals. In Top Sportsman, Paul Coull finishes runner-up and Cody Cook reaches the semis.
The second completed event swings toward Costabile. He prevails over Paul Coull in the Top Sportsman final and secures the Quick 32 Sportsman Series event win.
Costabile records a 5.547 at 114.80 mph, with a red-light start noted, while Coull clocks a 4.471 at 129.40 mph.
He is set to face Top Dragster winner Shawna Woudstra in the overall Quick 32 final, but a mechanical issue sidelines her Fortinos-backed dragster.
Woudstra still claims the Engineered Racing Services Bounty Hunter Award for defeating Ferstl in the Top Dragster final and collects a $1,000 bonus.
Costabile receives $2,000 from Fletch Racing for the event win. Ferstl is Top Dragster runner-up, with Noakes again into the semis.
Rob Grey advances to the Top Sportsman semis in the Wilson & Gray Jerry Bickel Race Cars Cavalier, underlining class depth.
The programme features Can-Am Stock/Super Stock, Nostalgia Super Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, and Junior Dragster, alongside Quick 32.
NHRA grade points are on offer, vital for major event qualification and bids for the sport’s top prize, the Wally.
Next up is Labour Day Weekend, September 4–6, 2026, again at Toronto Motorsports Park and within the John Scotti framework, promising another tightly contested weekend.
