The advantage stems from a smaller turbo that spools quickly, helping Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton attack the first 100 metres more decisively than most rivals.

Kimi Antonelli and George Russell delivered cleaner getaways in Montreal after targeted software and hardware updates to the start system.

Mercedes focused on grip‑detection logic and clutch‑paddle control. Antonelli even revised his paddle profile to improve release consistency across varying grip.
