NHRA announces Autodromo of Monterrey has rejoined the NHRA Member Track Network in Division 4. The Apodaca, Nuevo León venue strengthens the association’s international footprint and restores a key Mexican drag racing hub.
The multi-purpose facility features a prominent dragstrip hosting multiple events annually. The track previously held NHRA affiliation and returns following coordinated efforts with business partner Century Prime Global.
Century Prime Global president Rudy Gutierrez frames the renewal as pivotal. He highlights Mexico’s motorsport heritage and the chance to stage international NHRA competition while inspiring the next generation of racers.

Autodromo CEO Gilberto Jimenez welcomes NHRA Member Track status, targeting expanded opportunities and sustained growth for drag racing in Mexico.
The facility joins 12 international NHRA venues across Canada, Bahrain, and Puerto Rico, underlining the sanctioning body’s reach beyond the United States.
Rejoining unlocks eligibility for NHRA-sanctioned events, including the Summit Racing Series presented by Hoosier, the Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League, NHRA Street Legal, and NHRA Jr. Street.
Specialty showcases such as the NHRA Summit King of the Track could also feature, supported by insurance programs and national marketing resources that help strengthen local operations.
Division 4 director Jonathan Johnson says the roster reflects an international community. Adding Autodromo deepens that commitment and offers racers fresh opportunities within NHRA’s South Central ecosystem.
Johnson frames the move as investment, not merely event acquisition. The facility’s values align with NHRA objectives, marking a meaningful step in returning top-level drag racing to Mexico.
The decision aligns with NHRA’s broader calendar, from Division contests to national events like the Muckleshoot NHRA Nationals, and complements initiatives that support racers across the series.
With historic pedigree and incoming NHRA programs, Autodromo of Monterrey is positioned to scale participation and competitiveness, while reinforcing NHRA’s network across North America and beyond.
