JEGS is named presenting sponsor for the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series debut at Maryland International Raceway from May 29-31, creating the first NHRA Potomac Nationals presented by JEGS.
The event lands in NHRA’s 75th anniversary season and brings the series to a new Mid-Atlantic venue near Washington, D.C., marking Maryland International Raceway’s first NHRA-sanctioned race.
Fans should see 12,000-horsepower nitro cars reach up to 340 mph, alongside stacked Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle fields chasing a special 75th anniversary Diamond Wally trophy.

JEGS enhances the weekend with its Experience trailer, giving fans direct access to products and staff. Marketing director Rob Fisher frames the partnership as deeper engagement with racers and spectators.
Two qualifying sessions run Friday at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Saturday adds the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge plus sessions at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., before Sunday eliminations start at 11 a.m. with anniversary activations around the facility.
Three-time Top Fuel champion Shirley Muldowney will appear, reinforcing the event’s heritage link. The first 4,000 Sunday fans receive a limited-edition NHRA pennant, while the Nitro Mall debuts expanded displays.
Top Fuel is led by points leader Shawn Langdon, recently clocking 345 mph. Josh Hart, Doug Kalitta, Tony Stewart, Leah Pruett, Clay Millican and Tony Schumacher headline the chasing pack.
Funny Car remains robust, with Ron Capps, J.R. Todd, Matt Hagan, Chad Green and Jordan Vandergriff targeting reigning champion Austin Prock, whose early-season form establishes him as the class benchmark.
Pro Stock is paced by Dallas Glenn, with two wins. Matt Hartford and six-time champion Greg Anderson pursue, with Elite’s Erica Enders, Aaron Stanfield, Jeg Coughlin Jr. and T.J. Coughlin.
Pro Stock Motorcycle features defending champion Richard Gadson and six-time champion Matt Smith, plus Angie Smith, John Hall, Jianna Evaristo, Kelly Clontz, Steve Johnson and Chase Van Sant.
Qualifying airs on FS1, with eliminations on FOX at 3 p.m. Sunday, extending the series’ reach during a crowded early-summer sports window.
The weekend builds on recent storylines, including the NHRA SportsNationals postponement and Chicago form from T.J. Zizzo’s Chicago race, Maddi Gordon’s Chicago performance, and Allegrucci’s Chicago victory.
