PEAK honors John Force’s 1996 Funny Car title with a throwback livery on Jack Beckman’s PEAK Chevrolet SS at the U.S. Nationals, September 2-7, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

The scheme debuts downtown at Monument Circle, with Beckman, Force, and teammate Jordan Vandergriff attending the PEAK SQUAD launch.

The 30th‑anniversary car carries a black upper and white lower, rising rearward. Black‑and‑white flames climb the hood. A white PEAK logo sits above Force’s red signature.

Beckman welcomes the nostalgia and competitive symbolism, recalling the 1996 car’s unbeaten run in that configuration.

PEAK’s throwback honors John Force’s 1996 championship on Jack Beckman’s Chevrolet SS at the U.S. Nationals.

Competitive form underpins the tribute. Beckman sits fifth after 13 races, with an Epping win and runner-up finishes at Charlotte, Maryland, and Norwalk.

Old World Industries’ Brian Bohlander says 1996 is chosen for its 30-year resonance and fan appeal, especially PEAK’s black cars and flame visuals.

Force’s 1996 stat line: 13 wins in 19 events, 16 finals, 13 No.1s, and 65 round-wins.

The collaboration reaches a decade as full-season partners in 2026. PEAK progressed from associate in 2014 to full primary in 2016, bolstering JFR alongside Austin Prock’s Funny Car program within the broader JFR effort.

Force, a five-time U.S. Nationals winner, credits PEAK for reviving iconic looks. He frames 1996 as a benchmark, capped by winning the Pomona Finals in this scheme.

Force became the first Funny Car driver under 4.90 seconds with a 4.889 at Topeka.

That barrier and the 1996 Driver of the Year award underline why this livery carries competitive weight at Indianapolis.

Track action builds across five qualifying sessions: Friday at 6:15 p.m. ET, Saturday at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., and Sunday at noon and 2:45 p.m.

Eliminations start Monday at 10 a.m. ET. FS1 covers qualifying and early eliminations before a switch to FOX, complementing Bandero NHRA U.S. Nationals build-up coverage.

Beckman and Alexis DeJoria contest the PlayNHRA Funny Car All‑Star Callout on Sunday, with rounds at 12:45, 2:15, and 3:40 p.m. FS1 airs a dedicated 7 p.m. broadcast.

Wider 2026 narratives enrich the weekend, including Bo Butner’s 2026 victory in Pro Stock and consistent Top Fuel form from Justin Ashley.

The throwback aligns heritage with present form, aiming to convert momentum into a statement result at drag racing’s marquee event.
